We started strong with over $15,000 to fund brand new basketball uniforms for both girls and boys.
We started strong, fueled by a collective determination to elevate our basketball program to new heights. With over $15,000 raised, our ambitious goal of outfitting both the girls' and boys' teams from 4th through 6th grade with brand new uniforms was well within reach. The moment had finally arrived to unveil these symbols of unity and pride.
We provided funding for 680 uniforms across over 20 schools: AWL, Bond Hill, Carson, Chase, Cheviot, College Hill, Covedale, Ethel M. Taylor, Evanston, Frederick Douglass, Hartwell, Hays-Porter, Oyler, Parker Woods Montessori, Pleasant Hill, Rothenberg, Roll Hill, Sayler Park, Spencer, Taft Elementary, Westwood, Winton Hills, Woodford Academy.
With a newfound sense of pride, both girls and boys had a great season working together as a team on the court.
As the season progressed, the girls and boys became more than just teammates; they became a family. The support and camaraderie forged on and off the court made them unstoppable. The new uniforms had served as a catalyst, igniting a sense of pride that radiated from every player.
The team's success was not measured solely in victories, but in the bonds formed and the personal growth achieved. They learned that true victory lies not only in the final score, but in the friendships, the resilience, and the unwavering belief in themselves and each other.
And so, with their new basketball uniforms adorning their bodies, the girls and boys stepped onto the court, ready to face any challenge that came their way.
